I’ve just started an online clothing store 2 months ago and it’s already failing. Mainly because my customer reach are marginalized people. I get good stocks because I don’t want people feeling robbed of their money when purchasing my product and I price low. I’m seeing businesses like mine pricing product the same as mine thrice and almost 4 times my price and they are selling fast. Meanwhile i keep going on sale and people won’t buy from me. I keep on posting and also does live selling to keep people engaged but to no avail. I’m losing hope.
 
@niall28 We're started selling our preloved, and we know kung quality ba yung item for it's price na nilagay namin but still they said "pricey daw" 😓 napakababa na nga compare sa iba at we know kung ano presyo ng gamit namin. We're planning to inc. the price na nga ng malaman nila if the items are pricey nga 😂
 
@gsoleiman Entrep here. Your price is attracting the low-end market that don’t have money and harder to please. Not a great market to target.

Here’s what you do: Make a branded store/ account in FB, IG, Tiktok, position your store as specializing in curated pieces (Your brand / store name should reflect this positioning), Increase your price to 3x, Post nice photos and videos of your pieces, post 5x a day, Go live as often as you can (Make sure your background looks nice and tasteful), do this for at least 100 days before you call it quits.
 
@gsoleiman You can just re-brand the page. Here’s a simple hack: Search for US businesses that sell curated pieces. If you like their branding, imagery, style - just shamelessly copy.. but use your own brand name of course.
 
@mightynameofjesus Any tips on going FB live? Before I do shopee live selling pero gusto ko talaga maglive sa FB. Sa shopee di Ako Nakoconscious Kasi di ko Kilala viewers kaso sa FB Kasi marami ko kakilala at mahiyain talaga ako
 
@emmaemma Sobrang mahiyain ko din po atsaka anxious po ako masyado na sasabihin ng mga tao usually yung mga kilala ko profs ko na sasabihin hala si engr naglalive ng mumurahin 😭😭 pero ginawa ko nalang po. 🤣🤣 hanggang ngayon nahihiya pa rin ako pero nag lalive pa rin ako lakas ng loob nalang 🤣🤣 yung shame mo before the live ng naman, during ng live parang nawawala na po yung hiya 🤣🤣
 
@gsoleiman Hindi ka po makakaattract ng customer if mahiyain ka po. :) Go lang po sa pagflex ng tinda, one day ikaw nalang po mananawa sa mga magmamine 💛 Wag niyo nalang po isipin sasabihin ng iba if may pangarap ka 💛
 
@mightynameofjesus possible ba to if sourced from taytay ang items? i live in gensan, so no choice but mahalam yyng item para mabawi rin ang costs. Matagal ko na gusto gawin kaso di ko alam if pricing 2-3x is good.
 
@gsoleiman People buy from people they know. Ikaw lng may alam na same product/quality yung benta mo conpared sa benta ng ibang store, kahit cheaper pa yan sayu - i think lalong maghinala yung buyer kasi bakit cheap lng benta mo(?).

I'm no businessman, so coming from customer lng to na perspective.
 
@hylda Ganyan talaga eh, if i'm looking to buy cheap items, from online stores(lazada/shopee) na walang mga reviews na sila lang meron stock, I'll get the one in mid, never the cheapest one - unless kung pang one time use lng yung item na d naman madelekado buhay ko.

But if mga damit, always the mid range na price, never the cheapest one if unknown/no review stores yung pagpipilian ko.
 
@jtcarrieres there was this study or experiment where the very same cake was being sold. side by side. with different proce tags.

pero mas nasasarapan yung mga tao sa mas mahal na cake.

baka dahil din sa expectation or assurance pag pricey yung item.
