What should be the budget of my car ?
I am 30 F.

I have two sources of income

One is my regular job- pays around 60k

Another one is my business- pays around 1.5 lacs.( some months it’s more as well and hoping it to grow more)

Savings - around 20 L

My expenses - 30 k house rent.

15 k EMI.

20 k my personal expenses.

I have booked Hyundai exter -12.5 lacs

But I am reconsidering my decision and thinking of buying sonet top variant - 18 lacs,

I am learning to drive and think the new ADAS and other features are helpful in terms of safety.

What do you think?

@unknown82828 You can get the sonet. You have enough income for a 18 lakh car. Although you can also look at elevate top end for like 19 which is a spacious and better car with adas

@unknown82828 Exter is a great car,sonet isn’t worth spending 18 lakh on. Also don’t spend entirety of your savings on one purchase with the promise of monthly salary will replenish it.

@unknown82828 12.5L car is fine at your age and level of income imo. Don't opt for EMIs though. Interest rates are a lot for vehicle loans currently.

Go for 18L car when you start making 4L a month minimum.
