I will tell you by giving an example:
I have a bank account with State Bank Of India CP Branch and I want to send money to y friend who has a bank account with State Bank Of India (SBI) Shahpura Branch. so I have many different ways and method to do so. My method of sending money depends on how much money I am sending. there are three methods of money transfer-
I have to send 5000 so I will choose IMPS. First, I will log in to my SBI Net Banking portal followed by adding a beneficiary
After that, I can easily send money to him but I will require State Bank Of India (SBI) Shahpura Branch IFSC Code. after that, I send click on ok. this method instantly transfers the money whereas for RTGS and NEFT there is a time slot for them to get cleared by the RBI.
