Cross-border accountants, are they worth it?

Moved to canada last year, earned income in US and Canada in 2023. Tax season is around the corner. Most cross-border accountants take a lot of money to file taxes, are they worth it or should i do two separate accountants, one in US and one in Canada?

@dk4jc Unless you like double taxation and punitive treatment from the IRS, a cross-border accountant is worth it.

@dk4jc You seem like the type who might thoroughly enjoy the bureaucratic and financial issues that arise from trying to submit complex and obtuse paper work.

I'm sure you could figure it out all on your own. If screw it up though, you get to deal with not just one, but two huge government bureaucracies.

Proceed on your own are your own peril.
