2024-25 Stocks & Shares ISA's Q

Hey all,

Little bit new to investing in general so looking for some help.

Last year I opened a S&S ISA with HL. And I'm wanted to ask:

Can I have more than one Stocks & Shares ISA accounts for 24/25 - as long as I don't go over the threshold?

Example, keep contributing to my HL S&S ISA. And open up another S&S ISA this tax year with another provider. (I'm not expecting to contribute more than 20K a year overall)

Many thanks

SC

@specific On the gov website (which is the first place you should look for any questions like this) it says in almost the first sentence. Sometimes it can use complicated language on that site but they do try and be as clear as they can.

"You can put money into one of each kind of ISA each tax year."

https://www.gov.uk/individual-savings-accounts

So while you can pay into a cash and S&S ISA in one year for example, you can't pay into 2 different S&S isa in the same year

@hayesruc ...Until 2 weeks time when that rule gets scrapped and you will be able to pay into as many of the same ISA types (LISA and JISA excluded) as you like.

@hayesruc While ordinarily you are correct, OP has asked for 24/25 (next tax year) where the rules are changing to allow you to contribute to multiple ISAs of the same type.
