Suspension is F*d after hitting Pothole

I’m being quoted 12k to fix this! The problem is I cannot remember which pothole as it was like a week ago and I thought the car was fine. There were no marks or anything. Later in the week I noticed steering pulling to the right slightly. I have Progressive insurance and have collision cover but do I have to show which pothole I hit?! How was I supposed to do that on a main road?! Also I had no idea that you had to document such a thing. I didn’t document it. Will they still pay?

@jmichael07 No you don't need to identify exactly which pothole. Pretty sure they aren't named or numbered anyway.

@jmichael07 It's helpful yes, to tell them where is happened. But this is single car at fault accident that your arent disputing so there's not going to be any pushback as long as you had the appropriate coverage on place at the time of loss.
