@im911 So if melb stays flat for another 2-3 months and bris keeps up its pace they’ll be on par. Wonder if we’ll get mass exodus from qld to Vic as people search for cheaper housing down south?
 
@dfaithfulservant Melbourne median dwelling price is suppressed by apartments. If you look at houses only the difference is greater - 1.1m vs 900k

At the current rates yeah bris will catch up at some point maybe next year, but not within the next few months
 
@n0bodee We just bought a house this week. The banks have already raised their fixed and variable interests so much that we had to reduce the amount we were willing to borrow for a house significantly. We were looking at the 1.2mil mark and instead bought for under 1.
