@tnvolfirefighter for years mine was not up to date online, so I had a rough Idea of where I stood by tracking room with an excel sheet. Starting in 2022, around the time I filed my taxes the number on my cra suddeny became current, so I updated my running tally accordingly. i.e. currect value as of January 1, 2022 was updated in March or April of 2022 to reflect all prior contributions and withdrawls.
I cross checked again in 2023 for all 2022 contributions and both my accounting the CRA's was exactly matched.
During the year I keep track of how much I contribuite monthly, which is %541 (6500/12). I also have a $500 buffer in my TFSA room, so I don't risk accidental over-contribution.
