I am getting ready to move from MN to RI. We are driving. Insurance is confusing to me and I was curious if anyone could give me some advise on my coverage? Here is what I have now.

Bodily Injury & Property Damage Liability:
$50,000 each person/$100,000 each accident/$50,000 each accident

Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist:
$30,000 each person/$60,000 each accident

Personal Injury Protection:
$20k Medical expenses w/$100 deductible $20k
Economic limits w $200 deductible

Comprehensive:
$500 deductible with $0 Glass deductible
Collision:
$500 deductible

Rental Reimbursement:
No Coverage

Roadside Assistance:
No Coverage
Custom Parts and/or Equipment v.
$0.00

My official change of address to RI is on 10/18 and my insurance renewal date is for 11/01. For my new policy I was thinking I’d go through a broker so they can assist me in having the right coverage but wanted to seek some advise here first.

@carterdraken Just a simple broken leg from an auto accident can result in 50k in medical costs. I recommend increasing your liability to 100/300/100 at a BARE MINIMUM, 250/500/250 if you can.

@carterdraken Get as much coverage as you can afford without breaking the bank. Don’t just consider liability to others if you’re at fault but protection for yourself if you’re injured by an uninsured or underinsured driver. I speak from experience.
