Expat bank advice

Hi guys,

I’m 21(f) from Australia and I’m going to travel Europe from mid July-mid August then I wanted to try find some bar work or retail in Europe (I have Irish passport) for the rest of the year and try to balance some work and travel. Alternatively I might travel Europe for 3 months then go to Canada and try work in a ski lodge or something over the winter (I also have a Canadian passport).

My most important question for the sake of travel and work is about banks. I was thinking of using Wise or Up banks for my travel but I can’t work out if my wages can be paid into them. Or do I need to make a bank account in each country I live in?

Thanks :)

@ambermyersj Any euro account such as Revolut, Wise, N26 should generally be fine, though some employers may want a local bank account (I think illegal, but they have the power of employing you or not).
