@soledad Proud of you Baldy, you actually put the work in. I had a brake line and starter go out on my truck Friday. Needless to say, with no cash I’m hoping she is still where I’ve had her parked at. I’ve already lost Spotify premium... it’s a joke but I’m at my wits fucking end.

@theniceone Hang in there! Final stretch coming up! Did you leave a note in the truck dash to call you if there are any problems? Write a short and vague message but dont lead on you are financially cornered.

@soledad Do you know where I can find any information about the dates of phase 2 roll out for Colorado unemployment? I have looked and asked everyone and every where 🥺 becoming hopeless with no information after the townhall meeting with Phase 1 having such great news

Thank you! I know its such BS! Communication emails to us would be better than word of "mouth" social media outlets they talk to 😟 sucks all around! Thanks for this thread!!

@sayitstraight The last I heard / saw was the date was not yet determined and that CDLE would reach out when the time comes. I view that answer like everyone else should -- complete BS. Sorry to not have better news for you.

@rrruff 12/27/20-01/03/2021 is the "wait week" which was re-instated per Executive Order D 2021 032 signed 01/31/2021 and conveniently the day before CDLE Phase 1 Rollout (02/1/2021). This was the "Head" of the Head & Tail combo in the Zerogeddon scandal. The "Zero Claim Balance Available" withheld funds longer, shortchanged many of us on PEUC and was the "Tail" portion.

Example of back-owed weeks: W1 W2 W3 W4 W5

...where a slashed week is a slashed week of eligibility. One permanent, one systemic and causing a delay. W1 = Executive Order, W5 = "Zero Claim Available Balance" (new phrase)

@rrruff There's only one thing to do - learn the language of the UI employee, earn their trust, and breed with their women. And in time our differences will be forgotten.

@soledad Locked out since April 17th, and that's after having to wait for the PUA2 to unlock. I barely got paid a month of what I was owed, before being locked out again. I literally can't get to any job because of a lack of funds and resources, and that's the whole point of unemployment, I thought?

It's asinine, dystopic, and utterly insane to provide such a massive hurdle, and expect people to kinda "Wait it out". This is literally a socialist scenario in play. Millions across the country, holding onto dear life for benefits that are being tossed back and forth by two equally inept agencies... the stuff of nightmares.

Eviction Moratoriums are being lifted, and my rental assistance grant ran out at the beginning of April. If nothing happens this month, my landlord has made it clear I WILL have to vacate. Nothing has ever been so out of control in all my life. It's insane!

I've been surviving off of "odd jobs". Things like fixing sinks for my landlord, or helping neighbors with small labor work, just to eat, just to keep basic amenities up. I'm not gonna lie, I'm still half afraid to even this small survival stint will bite me in the ass, as who's to say that CDLE wouldn't be assholes enough to wonder how we "survived" this long without their help, assuming we didn't need it in the first place.

Something needs to give... It's completely illogical to tout more than 80% of unemployment applicants as "fraudsters". Sounds like a congratulatory pat on the back by an administration with a collectively subhuman IQ.

@hr_19 I endured my big struggle last summer.

First, I didn't apply for Unemployment until it was a last resort. I was completely broke and despite powering forward the first three months of the pandemic I had been backed into a corner financially and gave up. I never considered myself to be unwilling or unable to work and the whole idea of unemployment was foreign to me.

Second, I was thinking it would be a two-week turnaround. Not so fast! I spent a very long 87-days waiting for an initial response. Then another 5-7 days waiting for a deposit. Then, out of nowhere, because the deposits had been made on a US Bank ReliaCard which was essentially forced down my throat. US Bank then decided to flag my account as potential fraud forty-three days into having access to funds. Because -- wait for it -- I went back into a Walmart and checked out a second time in the same fifteen minute time span. First transaction: $12.32. Second transaction: $5.87 (windshield de-icer the morning of the first or second October snow).

FRAUD!

US Bank placed a hold on my funds from the end of October to the end of January -- another 81 days. Though I applied for unemployment last summer, I really only had limited access to funds (43 days).

I was depressed last summer (obviously) but then was on the up and up for that 43-day period. Then I hit a depression again late last fall. Bills were mounting. Cell phone disconnected (still disconnected). Credit Score taking a hit.

I survived on liquidating belongings I really didn't want to part ways with and calling on my parents which was loaded with more difficulty than it sounds. Case-in-point: I went without food for 9-days last fall before I talked to them.

I am at a point now where the after effects of being in a deep hopeless depression are still lingering. But I already survived the worst. It didn't make me a "better or stronger person". It, plainly, sucked hardcore and will be atop of the worst life experiences of mine ever. But at certain points I told myself, "It can't really get any worse".
