American with PR, do I need a Canadian Credit Card?

Hello! As the title reads, I recently received PR and started looking into what all I need to do next. For now, I use all American banks because I am paid in USD by my American job. Do I need to establish Canadian credit? If so, which banks would you recommend?

The savings from currency conversion fees alone will be worth it.

@david1010 To establish credit yes, maybe look into RBC and TD since you could move your American asset there too, for TD if you open both an account to TD Bank (us version) and TD Canada Trust (Canadian version) they can link them together for easy wire and management.
