[Texas] license just expired, just got laid off, can’t renew because it’s suspended. Help?

@irishtexan39 You should be able to go in and get an ID card. You don't have to be licensed to get unemployment. https://www.dps.texas.gov/section/driver-license/how-apply-texas-identification-card

With Anthem Blue Cross, No Urgent Care in Los Angeles after 5:00 P.M.?

@sebastian_flores Yes. We did this recently to decent success. Takes a bit of advocacy but it worked.

[NEW YORK] I need help. I might lose my job if I refuse to do this and I need to know if I’d qualify

@stingerming Communicate with your boss. Right now they may think you're happy to do these tasks.

[California] How do I report my hourly if I make tips?

@holoman I'd just add what I earned during the period I'm certifying for and divide it by the hours worked.

Do I still get kicked off my parent’s insurance even though I have Crohn’s Disease?

@scottusn06 No, the 26 year old cutoff isn't diagnosis related at all. https://healthcareinsider.com/turning-26-health-insurance-guide-61126

Us “poors” can’t get a real doctor anymore and finding a NP isn’t easy either.

@absolute1963 Exactly. That's a crisis at this point. Here in California, where we are supposed to have the best "Affordable Care Act" service in the nation, getting quality adult care of any kind can really be tough. Mental health care will be provided generally by your local county or county...

[New York] Can I be denied unemployment for not going into the office?

@etienne92 I feel you're going out of your way to find eligibility here. What will the OP say when they are asked why they only came in once a month after the move? How will they answer did they let anyone know the in-office hours would drop dramatically? You've made some fair points but you're...

[New York] Can I be denied unemployment for not going into the office?

@photomanpianoplayer Oh and if they allowed it you'd be fine. Did they respond? An email though is something, even if they ignored it.

[New York] Can I be denied unemployment for not going into the office?

@etienne92 I guess I feel sure the contract was weak, but that also the employee was being sneaky, and less than forthright and candid in their work. Why not just send an email saying you're only coming in once a month now? Answer, they assumed that wouldn't be allowed.

[New York] Can I be denied unemployment for not going into the office?

@etienne92 Of course but when weeks are going by and the employee didn't even bother mentioning that to a supervisor, ehhhh.

[New York] Can I be denied unemployment for not going into the office?

@etienne92 Agree it's worth a shot but I'd tell a friend or family member they are likely going to not get benefits.

[New York] Can I be denied unemployment for not going into the office?

@photomanpianoplayer Well was there other correspondence about the working from home after, "thank you"? If there wasn't you should be ok. If there was? What was it? It depends. Most appeals are over the phone and about 10 minutes in length.

[New York] Can I be denied unemployment for not going into the office?

@photomanpianoplayer Then that should be your whole case. Just focus on that, don't mention the supervisor not liking you or anything else.

[New York] Can I be denied unemployment for not going into the office?

@photomanpianoplayer Maybe you'll have a shot then. You didn't mention you'd notified them. Odd that you didn't mention that actually, that email and their response, or lack of one, is absolutely key here.
  15. E

[New York] Can I be denied unemployment for not going into the office?

@photomanpianoplayer So you decided on your own to reduce time in the office without discussing this with your supervisor? So weeks would go by without an in-office day? Ya that's misconduct and would be ineligible for unemployment if that's what you're saying. And it sounds like you are.

[New York] Charged $1000 for unemplyment insurance when i havent been unemployed for years.

@pageturner 2 years is pretty quick or kinda average frankly. Government doesn't move fast but it always looks for it's money.
