is there anybody here who have experienced getting a VUL policy from Sun Life and instead of earning some in the invested money ends up with a lesser and lesser fund value that can be cashed out later on?

makes you feel like you have been scammed by such company, they have already made profit from the money you have invested and yet you as an investor ends up with a lesser fund value and not even earning a single centavo

any advice on this? can they be sued for misleading you to believe that VUL is good investment?

@namelesschristainjourney1 If I remember it right, there is a part of the policy contract kung saan nakasaad that you acknowledge the risks that comes with getting a VUL policy, kasama na do'n ang not guaranteed returns on the investment part of the insurance policy, something like that.

Best to talk to your advisor and ask about the historical performance of the fund since you got the policy kasi nakadepende ang returns sa performance ng chosen fund mo. Kasi 'yong friend ko na former client ko din noong nasa Sun pa ako, kachat ko siya last week and 'yong fund value naman niya ay swak sa projected 4% return on the 5th year of her policy.

Depende kasi talaga 'yan sa fund performance and what events could have possibly contributed to the fund's current performance. If di ka happy sa returns ng current fund mo, magpatulong ka sa advisor mo kung saan mas okay ilipat ang funds mo depending pa rin syempre sa risk appetite mo when it comes to investment. Kulitin mo advisor mo about these things, sulitin mo 'yong part ng payment mo na napupunta sa kanya by maximizing the service that you pay for.

@andrew_x7398 thank you for clarifying
