@wakemantk Why muck around? $3500 sounds fine. Enjoy your holiday without the stressing of wheeling and dealing, possibly breaking down etc. How much are you really gonna save?

@thanksgod It totally depends on their personal financial situation though, right? OP is talking about $3500 which comes to just shy of $6K NZD.

Even if they bought a shitter for $5k and pushed it off a bridge they'd have had another $1000 to spend on bungee jumps and $7 coffees in Queenstown versus renting. The effort seems worthwhile unless they've got huge surplus income that they just can't find anything else to do with.
