Trailer wreck

Hello , 2 months ago I got into a road range incident. A lot happened between then and now so please don’t put it fully on me (I just got out of jail a week ago). I had break checked a trailer , I don’t really remember why. Nothing happened because of the break check , about a minute afterwards I’m in a different lane and the trailer comes at me at full speed (I’m not breaking , not nothing , just driving normally)
The trailer just now decides to make a claim against me. Am I the one at fault , or him? I don’t know if the break check means anything if nothing happened until he decides to come at me a minute later at a different lane

@brokenloner A couple of thoughts.

A. Every decision you make has consequences. You chose to break check someone else. You don’t even remember why. That says that you aren’t that responsible of a driver.

B. The driver of the other vehicle has some fault in the incident.

C. Call your insurance company and get their help.

@preacher_sam Thank you. Yeah , I know. Is it possible for them to make claim even though it’s been like 2 months?
