They only want to pay for a third of the roof

section of our roof blew off and Allstate only wants to pay for the side of the roof where the shingles blew off. It is going to look quite wonky to have only one side of the roof done. Is this normal practice? We are in California.

@dansswing They only owe for matching if your policy, or state, requires it. They owe for same Like, Kind and Quality (LKQ). Additionally, depending on your policy, and/or state, they may only owe for partial repairs to the area if it can be repaired, if not they may only pay to repair the affected slope.

@dansswing It does not have to match. It does have to be uniform with what you had prior. If roof shingles are newer (under 10-5 years) they can find similar that can be considered uniform. Did they run ITEL report to let them say what shingles you have and are there uniform availability?
Do you have other areas that have repairs? If you don’t have all uniform they can say can repair just as done prior.
What can you see from the ground? Take photos showing what you see from street and if can see damage and non damage slopes and argue your case
