I resigned by giving 2+ weeks notice with last day being December 9. The company paid the 2 weeks holidays anyway during the full and final pay, they didn't have to. So it worked out well.

I would like to give a shout out to my ex-employer for being considerate and reciprocating the good faith.

Turns out tech companies don't care as much about mental health as they claim.

@resjudicata They don't care about mental health so take a mental health day which is like a sick day. They can't say no to that and just relax. It is in our rights to take mental health days if needed

@cholachrist I don't even tell them it's a mental health day. That just leads to more questions. I just say "I'm taking a sick day" and don't elaborate.

@micahissaved That's the thing though. You don't have to explain anything to them. Also a mental health day does not take away from your sick days you are allowed if I remember correctly

@cholachrist Are you talking about personal days? Because I don't get mental health days. We're encouraged to take time off for our mental health, but using our vacation hours.

All these while my lead said you are doing good work and all that but today he said there is no hike for you this year though everyone else in the team got one.
