@vincejohnson Is it rent only or is there some utilities? Because if any utilities are included then its reasonable to assume with three people there would be more usage.
@vincejohnson Hmmm…. How would the owner/agent know? Sometimes it’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission. And for those that argue that the facilities will get more use etc, let me say one careless tenant can do more damage in a few months than a considerate person in 5 years, wear and tear etc. Problems might arise if you need a third access tag…
@vincejohnson should have just kept quiet and let you friends partner move in. and would have paid less rent. if the owner asks why is there a 3rd person just say the partner was sleeping over
@ulyss The problem is when you live in a property with access tags or remotes. Also, changing your address on legal documents can be a struggle without a letter or an updated lease agreement from the landlord
@vincejohnson Makes sense to increase rent as with extra people, there’s more water & electricity used. And increased rate of wear & tear as there’s an additional human being in a home.
