@deebouchie I did it when I had my apartment, these were recession times for the most part so at one point renting a room only covered about a third of my mortgage at the worst point but it was a handy little extra bit of cash. I really liked doing it, not just for the money, but the company in was great too. I had 5 roommates over 11 years and they were all great, but I made sure whoever moved in was someone I clicked with.

@deebouchie Doing this from day1 in my current house. Just make sure it’s big enough place and it’s fine. The extra income helps me offset the loss of maxing out the pension.
