[Question] Is this real or fake money?

Hello, I am here to ask the community to know if it is real money, I sold a bag and the guy gave me this money.

Before I get it to the bank, I want to be sure it's real money, I don't want to be in trouble for something that isn't my fault.

I do think it's real or else I would have never accepted it but one can never be sure.

@gcwarnock This reminds me the old 10 euros banknote. It’s not in circulation any more as far as I know

Only a bank can verify if it’s fake or not

Also the coin on the right is not euro

@kaytiedid I'm aware for the coin but I'm wondering if it is truly legit.

And thank you for the response, if I bring it to the bank and ask them if it's real or not, if it ends up being fake, will I be the one in trouble? I don't have the informations of the person who I sold it to.

@gcwarnock Why would you be in trouble, worst case scenario they'll ask where you got it, and maybe seize if it happens to be fake. It's just a 10€ note, it's not really worth much in the grand scheme of things.

@gcwarnock The note seems legit, however you can put it up in direct light, it will have a black line in the middle, another way of checking is with your nail, you can rub on the rugged rectangle in the middle of the note, if it's rugged it's 99,9% real. The coins I'm not sure but they're harder to fake as sometimes they are more expensive to make than they're worth.
