Newly self-employed care options

Hello all! I am looking for my best options for purchasing health insurance going into 2024. I will be quitting my job with benefits to make a lot more money in self-employment, but unfortunately will need to pay a health insurance premium out of pocket.

Should I be shopping through a broker who will find the lowest rate? Where do I even start here? We are a family of four, I know things will be expensive.

Thank you in advance for advice/recommendations!

@cometoyouhumbly Yes premiums will tend to jump as you will no longer have employer contributions. There are two routes I'd recommend. Marketplace being one but given your income you will not be receiving subsidies so you'll pay full price for the options. Now in Michigan if you are relatively healthy there are private options available for self employed individuals that can put you on a ppo network and save you on premiums as long as you are relatively healthy. I assist my clients with these all the time if you want to look into them
