Need advice on which plan to choose

Good evening everybody,

So my company offers these two plans for dental coverage. I know I will need 1 crown and probably 2-3 fillings in the next year. Do yall think the high plan would be better for me here? If I understand correctly, I think I will make my money back in just the one crown but want to make sure I’m correct

@husseximmo Dental plans are more like discount programs. Looks like for $6 more per paycheck/month (for Employee only) (whatever increment they are showing you) you can get 60% of the Major services (including your crown!) covered vs 50%, 100% of basic services (that would be your fillings) vs 80% and an extra $1,000 annual maximum PLUS ortho if you need it.

If you know you need services, that's the way to go!

@foreverthankful Thank you, so does this mean that they will fully cover my fillings? Also does the plan maximum mean that my plan will offer me coverage until I hit $2000 in work? I feel like just the 10% in difference for the crown will cover the higher plan and the fillings are just a bonus. I do know I need some work coming up. Thank you for your help btw

@husseximmo if that says "basic" services covered at 100%- then yes, fillings fall under basic services and would be covered at 100%

And you're correct, the annual maximum for dental plans refers to the MAX your plan will pay out to providers for your dental care for the year. Anything over $2000, is your sole responsibility.
