Need advice on insurance (delivery of baby)

@theodorealexander Dumb question but was the employers plan better? Why not continue with cobra is the cost that much more compared to these?

@mystique14 I mean, the employers plan (Cigna) was cheaper and it would of been better to reach the deductible because of the other costs we’ve already paid out this year but I’ve never heard of Cobra.

@theodorealexander I would suggest you look it up. If the employer meets the required criteria it may be your best option. Your wife should receive a packet in the mail. It is more expensive than you were paying while she was employed (because the employer is no long contributing a portion of the premiums) but it is still likely a better option.

@theodorealexander Those plans are terrible. $85 copay for a maternity visit? TERRIBLE. Can't your wife go on your insurance or cobra?

@jacobegli Possibly cobra, but my plan is ridiculous to add people too. It’s more than quadruples it’s cost.
