N/A for Out of Network rate

I just moved to a new job and this is my second time getting my own insurance. While trying to select my benefits, I’m comparing rates and I saw for the EPO the out of network rates for Office Visits for Primary Doctor had “N/A” for the rates. What does it mean?

@hermana It means there is no coverage at all for out-of-network care. That's usually how EPO works.

@hermana EPO (exclusive provider organization) functions like a PPO (preferred provider) in that you don't need referrals to see specialists and will have a broader network, but has HMO (health maintenance organization) benefits where HMOs don't cover out of network care.
