I am looking to save for my kid’s college expenses. I can’t find halal 529 plan options so I am thinking of opening ESA but the problem is it says annual limit is $2,000. I don’t think that will cover all of college expenses for the kid even if my ESA outperforms market. I am wondering if legally we are allowed to open more than one ESA for one kid so I can save more than $2,000 per year for that kid. I have UTMA option as well but I have heard that counts negatively towards any grants the kid may qualify for in the future. If anyone knows of halal 529 options that will be awesome as well.
