Hey gang, had a doozy of a trip to puerto vallarta. With no prior warning when going to bed one night, my wife started screaming in pain, passing out, bleeding downstairs, and vomiting and required an ambulance and a trip to the E.R. After a CT scan out she had an ovarian cyst pop. The hospital said it didn't take U.S. insurance and made me put it $4k on my credit card. Does Medi-Cal /Covered California cover anything that happens internationally?
Also adding, we purchased travel insurance because we were going to go do some water sports, but like dummies we didn't remember to get coverage until after we had already departed, and they denied our claim. What I thought was a good thing to have remembered already on the trip was a minute too late.
