MAXICARE INDIVIDUAL PLAY

Hi! Does anyone here who has maxicare individual plan?
My plan renewal will be on March but I’m still hesitating if I’ll still continue.
Here’s the thing, they have 10% increase on their rates for this year.
My plan should be priced at 25,278 pesos but my bill is 28,193.01. As per my agent, there is utilization fee.

Is this normal? Because if that’s the case, I will just cancel my plan then I will just re-enroll to another agent to get the normal rate.

@oliver19 Hi. Kahit lilipat mo ng agent.. increase parim sya. If u want na lower.. palit ka ng HMO provider

@bob999 Yung 25,278 is increased rate na nila. Hindi ko lang gets bakit may additional utilization fee pa kaya I’m asking if normal ba sya

@oliver19 Hi OP! Yes, normal yung may increase of premium dahil sa utilization mo ng card mo. Other than the age, yan ang isa sa mga possible talaga na increase sa premium. If you don’t want the new rate, the only option is to change your hmo provider.

Kahit magpalit ka kasi ng agent pero under Maxicare pa din, nandun pa din yung account mo. Parang nirenew mo lang through different agent.

@oliver19 There’s a general price increase in Maxicare every year. And lalo ngayon, laki ng losses ng Maxicare from last year.

@oliver19 Hi OP! The increase is not only due to your utilization, Maxicare increased the Benefit Limits as well

So Example 60k Benefit Limit/Illness/Year mo last year, this year nsa 100k na siya - anyway Maxicare Health Benefit Consultant here

@oliver19 Hiyee OP, may 10% increase ang 2024 rates talaga.
Nag increase ang MBL too - halimbawa Gold ang plan mo, nung 2023 100k lang MBL nya but 150k na this year.

Wag mo sana cancel lalo na if malinis 1st year mo.
If wala kang partner na agent, I can be one. No additional cost naman ito sa rates. Kinaibahan lang, if may Maxicare related concerns ka, mas makaka respond agad kami.
