A couple years ago, a small lawn maintenance company I hired to mow my yard who also happen to be neighbors in my HOA, drove their ride-on lawn mower into some window siding on my house breaking a trim piece (or so I thought). He later came back to ‘repair’ it and it wasn’t really a big deal at the moment. Fast forward to now, where I’m noticing some water collecting on my kitchen counter near where the window trim piece he had originally repaired. I’m assuming it’s coming through some crack that was made when he had thought it was just damaged trim but really it might have been more severe. This water is collecting after it rains and this area of the window outside is the only noticeable point of entry. Do I have a claim here? It’s been 2.5 years maybe… They also could possibly not even have business insurance as far as I know. It’s a very small mom & pop landscaping business.
