Is it possible to buy US Treasury Bonds (T-bills, T-notes) as European?

@brothermark83 did you manage to find the 1 year bonds at 4%? I am at the same situation as you, want them but seems impossible for us European peasants to access them. If you manage to get it in IBKR, would you mind share how did you do? I already checked the bond scanner but is really complex how information is shown

@stephenk @acl @stephenk The UX is pretty bad. What I did to find it is:

1. Go to https://www.treasurydirect.gov/instit/annceresult/annceresult.htm

2. Find Bill with 52-Week term and remember it's CUSIP

3. I put maturity date from 09/01/2023 to 09/30/2023 in IBKR Bond Scanner

4. The list is going to show a few different bonds, one with the CUSIP from step 2

@brothermark83 Nice, found it, but how do you know if you are buying at a discount or at a premium...etc?

@brothermark83 Sure you can buy bond ETFs, your broker may even sell them directly. But I don't really see the point, currency risk will likely negate any gains. Better to buy local bonds if you can.
