Is gross income 100,000CAD yr good enough to raise a family in B.C.?

@dougthebicycle It’s simply 7% more expensive to live in BC compared to Alberta because of the PST rate in BC. BC has a 7% PST tax on most consumer purchases whereas Alberta has no PST.
 
@dougthebicycle Hell no, not even close. Nevertheless, if your intention is to immigrate to Canada you might want to take it and after a few months look for a better paying job.
 
@dougthebicycle Hey OP, your name is Japanese, but I see comments that you're immigrating from Mexico. Are you originally from Japan?

I ask because my wife is Japanese, and although it is pretty expensive, Vancouver has a large population of Japanese people, and a lot of resources and community for it.

Port Coquitlam, Coquitlam, Surrey, and even New Westminster are cheaper than being right in Vancouver but are still within driving of downtown.
