@relicuk Comparing someone feeling poor in Australia to someone feeling poor in Haiti is a useless comparison. Should his entire family uproot and move to Haiti so they feel wealthier? Comparisons to where the family lives are actually useful whether that is Australia-wide or at a town/city/state level.
@melekmikayel Definitely the house. I'm on roughly 90k, I live in a basement and the thought of having kids and pets or anything alike would be financial suicide to me.
@melekmikayel You have a house - which almost most people in their 20s & 30s these days don't so you probably have enormous wealth banked up despite the low-ish cashflow.
Non-houseowners feel poor because we are blowing 30k per year on rent in Sydney.
