@ian74 It should be between 5-15 a month. You're required on some leases to have it, part of a landlord's way of ensuring that if something happens in your rental, it is less likely to fall on them.
It also usualy protects the things inside your apartment when they are outside the apartment (eg, your laptop is stolen from Starbucks)
