@hosslyn13 What are the mortgage payments?

I'm guessing the 170k nest egg is around 10 years of mortgage payments, add in disability payments for food and medical needs, and gig work to supplement (remote customer service, etc).

As other have suggested, rent out a room or two occasionally... that might help take some of the sting out of the loss of the long term income.
