How do married couples manage their finances?

What do you guys think is the best way to manage your finances with your partner? 50/50? I found out that it’s apparently normal for your spouse not to know how much you earn and tbh I don’t want to be in a marriage like that, but has that really become the „normal“ these days?

@wdllk3 Since you file taxes together as a married couple, it’s simply not possible not to know what your partner earns. As for your question: we fund a joint account monthly, applying a percentage. The joint account is used for pretty much all our expenses

@jem15153 Joint accoumt here too. Income into personal accounts, then both sending to shared account

@christiansheperd Same here. We both contribute proportionally to what we earn. Really like it this way.
