How do I stop O.D.P. fees from my TD account?

I feel like it's such an unnecessary fee. I also don't remember signing up for it. Why is this not part of the already expensive monthly account fee? How is this $5 ODP fee half as expensive as life insurance. If you don't have the money in your account, then the bank should not allow any transaction below 0 to go thru imo.

Cancel your over draft and overdraft proaction fee by calling TD.

@rivermermaid You can request your bank to not allow any transactions to go through that would take your account balance into the negative. Maybe you should just call them instead…

@rivermermaid Increase your overdraft to 5k line of credit level, then your kot charged for use of it. Don't take the insurance or cancel it. Not worth it.

Sometimes when people ask the bank to prove that they ever agreed to these kind of fee they end up getting all those fees refunded. (But, as per your bank agreement, you should check and report errors within X days of receiving your monthly statement.)

@rivermermaid Remove the coverage, but be prepared to pay over $40 as an NSF fee if you have an automatic bill payment attempt to clear your account and you do not have sufficient funds to cover.
