How do I get my "card authorization" charges back from ICICI Bank?

Hi, I am a student and had purchased the SmallPDF plan (PDF editing tool), which had an option of refund if I cancel within 30 days. I had paid X$ using my ICICI debit card, and had cancelled the same day, and I also got the refund of X$ from SmallPDF.

However, an amount of Rs. Y was deducted from my ICICI debit card, and on contacting SmallPDF, they are telling that it's a card authorization charge. Now, how do I get my debited money back?

Is this something related to forex charges (pardon my about regarding currency exchange)?
