How can I keep my U.S. investment portfolio and continue buying stocks if I move to Japan…?

@baytrum Hello! Sorry to bring up an old post, but I'm in a similar situation as OP and I'm wondering:

1. are you a US citizen?
2. did you formally change your address in Schwab to Japan, or did you just leave it as US?
3. have you gotten any warnings from Schwab about closing the account?

@christianzealot4 I'm an European living in Kyoto for a few years, I have US stocks in e-trade they support foreign investment and I can just invest as normal.
