High Risk Car Insurance

If someone has really bad high risk car insurance (4 at faults in 9 years, 3 minor tickets), and they can’t afford their insurance, does it make sense to stop having a car for a few years and get insurance again at a time when their driving record is cleaner?

@christine19 What is the alternative? Drive without insurance and risk fucking things up even further? Yes, that person should absolutely ditch their car and consider enrolling in a driver's training course with the money they'd save during those few years.

@christine19 The problem with this is they also looked at being consistently insured.
