@candhan It can work other way also, those who need h1b visa in USA will start outsourcing to India more.

btw, there was some news that India is reconsidering local data storage policy.

It is all a game till the powerful decides how everything should be.

Even if it ends up happening, it's kinda good in a way right? You'll be able to buy good quality IT stocks and IT consulting isn't going anywhere

@candhan How will this help US or hurt India? It will hurt a few individuals, that's all. Those individuals will stay in / return to India, work there, pay taxes there, and do the work that is now outsourced to India because the work will follow them.

If indeed this is retaliatory (which it may not be, it could be a case of media deriving correlation of two independent things) then it looks like a knee-jerk reaction.
