New Rs 20 Coin over Rs 20 Note



Some key highlights of the new Rs 20 coin are:

  1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the new series of "visually impaired friendly circulation" coins (Re1, Rs2, Rs5, Rs10 & Rs20)
  2. The outside diameter of new Rs20 coin will be 27mm and it will weigh 8.54 grams stated by the Ministry of Finance, India.
  3. The face of the coin will bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar with the legend "Satyamev Jayate" inscribed below.
  4. On the right periphery with the word "India" and on the the left periphery with the word "Bharat"
