Got a mail from eCAS_MutualFunds@seshaasai.in with a PDF attachment. Is this a scam ID or legitimate considering a few MF investments made?

Hey all,
As the title says, I’m new to the world of investing and recently created an account on Groww. I’ve invested in a few mutual funds and about an hour ago I receive a eCAS from that email ID. Is that legit or is it a scam? I’ve Never received a mail from that ID. I’ve already clicked on it and dreading the repercussions. The file seems to contains the investments I made last month.

If you guys have received mails from them or know anything, kindly help!

@cephus617 I get mine from "eCAS@cdslstatement.com", its a consolidated statement of all your Mfs, stocks.

@christina777 My uncle is one of the co-owners of the firm. However, you can do your due diligence and not believe some random dude off internet.

@ilovereading Why would they send the emails from random ass domain names instead of legitimate ones?

@econ4every1 Sesashai is a legit company name. It is based on bengaluru and involved in debit card manufacture(SBI debit cards). May be it has a wing which deal in mf investments. Just like UTI does.

I've never seen that domain in my life. Imagine you doing daily transactions in paytm.com and then getting your monthly transaction statement from statements@tripadviser.in

@econ4every1 That is because in security market multiple institutions are involved in one transaction. Like Upstox or zerodha or any other broker, NSE or BSE for exchange, CCI for clearing,CDSL or NSDL for demat, Kfintech or CAMS for maintaing data.

@seeker88 It could very well be. But seshaasai.in does not have a website, does not even redirect to their .com website, so looks suspect.
