GEICO auto claim

I was in an accident about a week ago and the other party involved made a claim through my insurance. I provided my written response through the GEICO app but now they’re asking for an “audio recorded record” of my response. Do I have to submit to this or is my written response sufficient enough?

@christianinthewilderness There's no reason not to provide it. It's a pretty standard request. You're required to cooperate with the claims investigation, or your insurance can deny the claim and leave you vulnerable to a lawsuit.

@christianinthewilderness The normal process is to take a recorded statement. You always have the choice to decline doing the recorded statement and just tell them ur side of what happened. They just wanna know your side to complete their investigation, it’s best to not make things difficult or delay it other further when they are trying to protect you if you’re liable.
