Final pay

So my last day in the army was Jan 10 and I just got what I assume is my was my final pay check I was an e-4 with 3.5 years in and my paycheck was only 1800$ I think I sold around 8/10 days of leave and I should have been collecting bah and was wondering if this sounds both right

@karinw Well sold leave can take up to 60 days past EAS to be given to you

And Jan 10th isn’t a full pay period so yeah sounds about right

@karinw E-4 w/ 3.5yrs base pay = $2918.40 / 30 = $97.28 per day * 18 (10 days of Jan + 8 days sold) = $1751.04 before tax

So take out tax, then add (BAH + BAS) / 30 * 10 = ?, and that's probably around the $1800 figure you got (depends a lot on what your BAH is).

@karinw I got a big payout from DFAS and could not figure out the specifics of it. I called them and Navy HR nobody could give me an answer. I had to wait for the LES to post which unfortunately took quite a while.

If you’re worried that you were paid too much just don’t spend it all until you have it spelled out in black and white.
