@everly Ouch, sorry to hear that. The Valley is currently undesirable location for cashed up DINKs or downsizers, and a lot of builds in that zone are sub par.

Until the Valley gets a facelift (Olympics maybe), it’ll always just be a drop off zone for kids looking to chew their faces off.
 
fortitude valley isnt a bad area, huge oversupply of apartments there and surrounding areas though.

a lot of the typical new 2 bed 2 bath apartments available at all times, suppresses price growth
 
@resjudicata That's always good to hear, I'm 2 bed, 2 bath and a car space right next to James st and the building was brand new at the time (off the plan). I'm hoping things will turn around in the next decade.
 
@resjudicata if u knew the area u wouldnt think so. full of public housing, outreach services, clubs n bars everywhere and its a pretty dingy area. the market which determined the price drop isnt dumb. clearly everyone wants a place to buy yet the valley apartments arent rising. its for a reason, a good one.
