E&O Insurance in the U.S. for non-residents/foreigners

I want to buy E&O insurance in the U.S. for projects with clients there as a sole proprietor.

Apparently insurance providers will always ask for a U.S. address. Will getting a virtual mailbox help solve this problem? Are there any states that are preferable to get a virtual mailbox in? Thanks!

@aristilis This is likely to be a problem, yes and whilst you may get away with fudging it through with a US mailbox this isn't really compliant from a regulatory perspective. The more common and robust way to do this would be to seek insurance wherever you are domiciled, contract from wherever that is and then get a policy that extends to US jurisdiction (which is very easy to do).

Source: UK based E&O underwriter for 9 years that predominantly writes US domiciled business these days.

Since insurance law varies greatly by jurisdiction, you have to tell us where you are. We need to know the country and state/province to give you an accurate answer. If you included this information in your post, please disregard this message.
