Maybe silly question. If I by Etf with depot A exclusively at exchange X, and later I decide to transfer all of it to my depot B, which exclusively trades on exchange Y. Can I sell my shares that I bought at X on Y or am I bound to the original exchange?
Generally, a security with a given ISIN is transferable between the exchanges it trades on, even if the trading currencies differ, e.g. you can transfer SXR8 (iShares S&P 500 EUR ticker @ Xetra) to CSPX (same fund/ISIN, USD ticker @ LSE) or other.
