I got my Full New Jersey driving license in 2005.

In 2010, I moved back to asia and stayed there till 2018. (Meanwhile my US license expired in 2012, I did not renew it) .

I came to Ontario in 2018, gave G1 and then direct G and got the full G license in 2018

Now whenever I buy insurance, the Question is when did you get your first US/Canada License. What should I say 2005 or 2018 ?

@echo2788 I'll echo this. Most insurers generally don't count international driving history, and so they definitely wouldn't count 2010-2018 in Asia. Where your New Jersey license expired and you had to restart the whole process in Ontario, where Ontario essentially considered you a new driver most insurers would as well. 2018 is the safest and most accurate bet here.

You could make an argument that they should count your time from 2005-2010 but most insurers probably won't budge on this. You could try obtaining a Letter of Experience and Drivers Abstract from this time to present to an insurer for consideration if they're agreeable, but it's a longshot.
