Can you leave your parents health insurance plan then get back on it later? (USA)

I have a job that is giving me health insurance for the year, but idk if I’ll have it after then. I am under 26
 
@nursec Generally yes, as long its either open enrollment or you have a qualifying life event (e.g. loss of job). Exceptions can happen if
A) the plan is non-commercial or grandfathered (e.g. union, university, "underwritten," MEC, etc.),

B) Your 26th birthday occurs in under 6 months, or

C) You aren't claimed as a dependent and are eligible for Medicaid or alternate coverage (called a "non-primary" clause)
