Can I use a 0% balance transfer on a CC to pay down my mortgage.

@jules63 I think you will find that most banks would do 0% on balance transfers as long as they are paid by the due date. So if you pay 10k from your credit card, you will probably have to pay it in 55 days from when you made the xfer (or depending how far into your billing cycle you are). There is no way a bank will let you have 10k outstanding on a credit card for 12months without any fess or charges.

Edit: a potential way around this would be if you paid the credit card on time with the funds you xferd to the other account and immediately xferd them out again. Credit cards only pick up if full payment has been made not the actual account balance. But i am sure doing this every month would be annoying, and having a revolving 10k debt might look a bit strange.

You will also have to consider balance xfer fees too if you are losing 3% of that balance per xfer then is it really worth it, sounds like you will loose money
